THE APRIL BUNNY HOP

You might have noticed that there was no entry for March. This was due to a combination of people being away in far off places and outright cowardice on the part of those left behind who were too scared to go out in howling gales and sleet - wimps!!

This is us ready to start off, high above Beauly on a nice sunny day. The view was magnificent and you should see it now before the Beauly to Denny transmission line changes all that.

That's the stile!

Here we all are having a look at the view on one of the sections of the tedious climb up to the loch - there were lots of nice views and sparkling conversation to lighten the tedium!

Here we all are gathered around a boat near the loch. I suspect it had been blown up here during the storms that had caused the March walk to be cancelled by the cowardy custards!

The rather lonely figure by the tree is Dave who had gone wandering off, muttering that it was too early for lunch and if he wasn't there they couldn't have lunch anyway and eventually they would appreciate what it was like to have leadership and routine, without it the world would fall apart and lunch was just part of that and............

We gave up listening after a while.

Lunch on a heathery knoll, sitting in the sunshine. Dave came back by then!
Much talk of ticks and how to remove them, but no subsequent reports of any problems.

As always we ended up at the pub - The Priory Hotel in Beauly, this time. Very pleasant it was too, sitting outside in what appeared to be a building site.

Thanks to Pam and Hugh for organising this walk, which we all enjoyed - looking forward to the next one already.
