THE JUNE JAUNT
Here are Pam, Jacque and Sharon striding out at the start of the walk, singing as they went.
Jim at lunch. He had to beg Dave to let him eat as it was a little before 1 o'clock. Note that he had brought his own floating shelter in case of low flying birds. The piles cushion is Jaque's.
Lunch was a bit frantic - by now it was raining - you know that kind of rain that is not too heavy, but it gets you very wet. Combine that with a bit of warmth, no wind and trees and what do you get.............................
AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Happily we escaped and found our way, as always, to the pub! I think every walk now has a group photo in the pub! I wonder why?
Whilst the real walkers were dealing with rain, humidity and monster midges, the Pollocks were sauntering along some Turkish gorge - should that not be a gullet! Anyway, they didn't seem to have any problems with midges.
Not only did they not have trouble with midges...................they didn't actually walk at all. To prove it here is the picture.
Susan could not get her picture taken as she and her handsome helper got delayed a little further back for about an hour...at least, that's what she told Robin.

MAY MADNESS

I know the song says sitting on top of the world - but this was dripping on top of the world!

Lunch time.

No cocktails for lunch - but it was certainly a pink lady.

Everybody wondered what that bright light was in the sky - certainly not something anyone had seen before - was it the sun?

No it wasn't the sun - it was a ufo. No sooner had it landed than a strange voice said "We have come for your young ones" A bright light appeared and Hugh was taken away! If he comes back he will no doubt sell his story to the highest bidder - he'll probably need a good accountant to help him out.
